AP U.S. History Decade Profiles
Thanks for visiting the site. When I was preparing for my AP exams a few years ago, I found that my best study tool was all the different websites dedicated to U.S. History on the internet. Following my exam, I wanted to contribute to the community. In my AP class, we had an on-going project where we created decade profiles for every decade of U.S. History. I posted my profiles on this website, with the intention that others preparing for the exam could use them as study guides.
Unfortunately, what I overlooked was that the AP U.S. History teachers back at my high school continued to assign the decade profiles project every year to their students. One of them found this website and soon the word spread among the rest of the students. Eventually, several dishonest people began copying and pasting my work and turning it in as their own. I recently got an email from my own former AP teacher, who told me what was happening. I was in shock to find that people were plagiarizing my work.
Out of respect for my former teachers, I have taken down the site. I do not intend to put it back up anytime in the future. I want to thank everyone for their support of my efforts and also for your appreciation of the matter. It is unfortunate that high school students (especially in a higher-level class, like AP) do have the knack to go plagiarizing the works of others. I certainly do not condone it, and I would advise those who do to beware: you might be able to get away for multiple infractions of cheating in high school, but when you are caught cheating just ONE time in college, then you are automatically expelled without any further review.
Again, thanks for your understanding. I wish everyone the best of luck in their studies.
