Cell Membrane (Plasma Membrane)

No doubt about it, the problem is that your cell membrane is vanishing. The Cell Membrane works as a boundary between the internal and external worlds. An example is that you set up a fence to keep the neighbor’s dog out of your yard. That fence serves the same purpose as your cell membrane: It keeps foreign intruders, such as that dog, out of the cell, or your yard. However, the Cell Membrane will let in only certain things, just like only the mailman can enter through the fence. Just like the fence door, there are special transport proteins that serve as the entry way through the Cell Membrane into the internal environment of the cell itself. Cell Membrane does create an enclosure for a cell’s cytoplasm. Cell Membrane is made of organic macromolecules, such as lipids and proteins.
